The Orchard House was the picturesque home of author Louisa May Alcott, and the site where she wrote her seminal work, "Little Women." Set amidst scenic trees and gardens, the house's interior features antique furnishings owned by the Alcotts, and exhibits about the various Alcott family members, who each were strong-minded and influential in their own right. The house lies near the downtown area, just west of Meriam's Corner.
